Hell it can't be that complicated to send you the correct parts if you mention inner and outer diameter as well as width...

perhaps should clarify my position: quality items once from time varies.
I understand that MM did not make the product themselves, but also check it they can not always. :(
I already have some parts form MM, that did not alternatives for that, but use is dangerous.
is why I try to use as many original parts if they are in good condition.
Hi,i could take the diameter on a new original ring for you,i have some at home.
I would take it at maybe 20°C as well as possible, also at 90°C,then we have a backlash
Steel should be nothing very special. If it would be to hard it would crack by shrinking more than the axle(at -28°C for example)
I think in these years when our cars were built, there was no good glue to get.
Today you would take some "Loctite",without shrinking...

I understand that this offer. danke!
if the original ring and they are good quality, I course interested in buying :)
and what may need to glue, if there is a normal ring? steel for the rings is similar to bearing steel, imho.
UPD: I try find kit in SKF catalog

I`ll try to make some photographs for you,but in my head there is the information, that these rings are only made of a soft steel, noway that they are herdened(original),and theres no chrome on them....
But :`til weekend i´ll see if i find them w/o 2days to look for.
Otherwise it should be possible that other manufacturers have found other specifications, but the prices...
Let me see...

Stanley,
I don't think that the retaining rings are made of soft steel, I tend to believe that the material used is tempered steel...if memory doesn't fail they crack / break rather easily if you give them a hearty blow with a hammer...hence the suggestion in the WHB to " crack " them, instead of removing them as Roman intends to do.
Assume that Roman will keep us posted on progress.
is this about cockrings?
Yes and for mounting they have to be heated on 450°C!
is this about cockrings?
Yes, these are special rings, the wife may put to the husband after heating in the kitchen...

In the garage and hangar very cold (-24 at yesterday), metal froze to gloves. works not possible.
so I only drawings parts for mount calipers and was looking for details.
on my everyday car some oil seals frozen, and now some is flowing...
ring can freeze especial for Nick, as he want try
before Nick can try the ring something entirely else needs to be frozen...
